A professional learning team centered around better retaining, supporting, and accelerating beginning teachers in the areas of professional development, cross-curricular collaboration, and educator activism. Networks would be school-system based, with an annual state (and possibly national) conference. Monthly face-to-face forums would allow opportunities for professional networking and provided training on applicable techniques for immediate implementation in the classroom. A portion of these forums would allow for teachers to discuss current policy events to stay informed and active in education. Each month's program would be digitally enhanced by social media components to encourage reflection as well as general classroom practices. Funding would vary from network to network and would be dependent on the types of professional developments and regional-specific programming needs. The network will connect beginning teachers and prepares them to be leaders in their school communities.
