I think that so many educators are coming in from different fields, and we are also seeing a decline in student teaching from traditional education programs. Student teaching needs to be funded and mandatory. Perhaps the reason we are losing most of our new educators is because of a lack of support and mentoring. Teachers should get to work with a mentor teacher in the classroom for maybe an entire year. BUT GET PAID.... more »
